End of Week 44 - OMG!

Well hello there and a happy Monday to you all.

I'm still doing this after 44 weeks!  I have to admit that it only seems like yesterday that I started this journey and it was the best decision I ever made.

My health and fitness is the best that it has been in years!

I am thankful that my husband took a leap of faith and bought me the Treadclimber last year, it has really turned things around.

I never thought I would say that I am happy to be exercising, happy to go to the gym and actually feel good for doing so.  I even treated myself to some new gym clothes over the weekend LOL!

Anyways, here's the workouts this last week.


I have upped the amount of time I spend in the gym by just 5 minutes and also have been upping the speed level on the Treadclimber :-)

Another 2 lb weight loss!  And the reason for the OMG! moment in the title of today's post is .....

I can honestly say that I have not weighed 152.5 lb (that's 10 stone 12.5lb in UK terms) since 1987!!! Yep you read that right - 1987!  That was when I was in my first year as a member of the Royal Air Force.  That's 30 years since I have been that weight.

Do you know what that means?  It means that my husband has never seen me at this weight!  That seems to be such a strange thing to say doesn't it!  

I am 2.5 lb away from my penultimate goal! and reaching 150 lb for Canada's 150 Birthday on the 1st July this year :-)

Hubster lost another 1.5 lb this week - taking his total so far to 19.5 lb!! 

I thank you all for your continued encouragement, advice and support - I'm doing this!

End of Week 43 - Back on Track

Happy Monday everyone.

I had a wonderful visit with my eldest daughter Shannon, at her college pad last week.  My visit did get extended by an extra day, so the Sunday to the Thursday, because of a snow storm at home that would have made the journey a bit risky.  More Mother/Daughter for me :-)

I was really good whilst away, making wise choices on the food, as we ate out a few times. I also had a couple of treats - why not?! eh :-)

Anyways, the drive home on the Thursday went really well and was glad to be back home.

I managed to get workouts in for the rest of the week and a visit to the gym with hubster :-)


I upped the workout, on the Treadclimber, again over the weekend and it pushed me up to level 63 on the Fitness score :-)

End of Week 42 - Visiting

Hi everyone.

I am away visiting my daughter, Shannon, at college for the next few days.  I did a road trip yesterday - 6 hour drive but very scenic :-)  Andy and Emily stayed home - it's March break this week, so was able to make the trip.

Hard to believe in another few weeks that Shannon will be home for the Summer break!

Anyways, here are the workouts for last week.


Obviously, with me being away I won't be able to do much.  But I will make up for it when I get back later in the week :-)

I actually did my weigh in yesterday morning, so here goes.

A maintain this week - which is fine. Feel it may be a little bit of fluid retention, but could also be where I am toning my muscles LOL!

I feel like I am struggling, but I know I'm not, and I know it is going to get even harder the lower I get!  Motivation is still there though and will up the workouts when I get back :-)

End of Week 41 - Dreaming of the Spring

Happy Monday morning to y'all :-)

Hope you had a wonderful week and weekend.

So, the previous week we were fooled into thinking that Spring was on it's way and I even managed a 5km walk.  This past week we were reminded that Winter is still well and truly here, with temperatures reaching the low -30c with the windchill!  Brrrrr! Too cold for walking outside for me!

I have had a good week and the gym is going really well.  Went a couple of times with the hubster in the evening too :-)

Onto this weeks workouts.


I have also upped the amount of time I spend at the gym. Only by 10 minutes, I have added 5 minutes to my warm up and cool down on the elliptical.  I have also started using the ab crunch machine on the strength training exercises - I will have that six pack LOL! :-)  I've got muscles I didn't even know I had :-)

Another good loss this week.

I will be doing my weigh on Sunday next week (although will probably leave the post till Monday).  I am hoping to go and see my daughter Shannon at college - from the Sunday through to the Wednesday - weather permitting!  It is March break here in Canada and as she is not coming home, I am going to see her and spend some time together.  It won't be long after that (end of April) that she is home for the Summer :-)
